Child Participation –

Children are able to express themselves regarding various child issues in front of different stakeholders and service providers.

Child Protection–

Children are aware of all the four major child rights.

A good understanding has developed in the community regarding the child rights.

Child Protection Committees are formed in each of the project village. Regular monthly meetings are held in which various child protection issues like child marriage, child abuse, child labour are discussed and work plans are made.

Disaster Risk Reduction–

DRR team formed at village level in all 32 project villages.

There has been an increase in awareness in the community regarding the risks of disasters and their prevention.

Capacity building of community has been done on the methods of organic farming on the rain based land.

Water conservation has been done in 7 villages .
Early childhood care and development –

Advocacy of ICDS centres was done as pre schools among the community.

AWW and parents interface in each community and workshops at organisation/ field level were organized.

Advocacy at DPO, DPRO, CDPO level was done to improve activation of existing anganwadi centres and also for opening of new centres.

Mother groups were formed and their regular meetings were held.

Education –

Increased awareness in the community towards education

Understanding developed in the community regarding the objectives of RTE

Efforts were done to identify educationally deprived and irregular children and to link them to various schools.

SMCs have been formed in every school of the project villages.

All schools in the project villages are free from corporal punishment and any sort of discrimination.
Optimal Health –

Pregnant women have started visiting vaccination centres for regular vaccination and health check-ups.

Even the adolescent girls have become aware regarding vaccination and have come forward for vaccination.

There has been a reduction in mother and infant mortality rate due to greater awareness of the precautions being taken during pregnancy.

There has been an increase in the number of cases of breastfeeding within the first hour of the child birth.

There has been an increase in the awareness amongst the community regarding malnutrition.

The community have started taking advocacy initiatives at all levels regarding health-related problems of the village.

Treatment of 125 critically ill children have been done at the district hospital and medical college.

There has been a decrease in the number of diarrhea cases.
Orientation on nutrition and child care
Household Economic Security–
-
50 SHGs were formed and their monthly meetings are held regularly.

Cluster federation formed in 4 clusters.

45 members have got self-employment with the support of SHGs.

Advocacy efforts were done at block and tehsil level regarding the improvement in the current status of PDS.
-
35 bigha single crop land has been transformed into double crop land with the support of engine and pipe.
Staff orientation on community managed micro-finance
Environment and Sanitation –

There has been an increase in awareness in the community regarding sanitation and hygiene, in particularly at the schools and aanganvadi centres.

200 families have started using toilets and the process of toilet construction has begun at the community level.

There has been an increase in the availability of pure and safe drinking water. 9 hand pumps have been installed by AAK. 85 handpumps have been installed in the project area by the panchayats with the efforts of the community and panchayat representatives. Also, drinking water has been made available in Kedwar using solar panel.

The habit of hand-washing with soap has been inculcated amongst the community, in particular the children .
- There has been a decrease in the number of illness due to contaminated water.
