AAK has been working to improve the productivity of land of the poorer and marginalised sections, a number of who have recently acquired land. AAK has significant experience in undertaking micro-level watershed management, nursery and pasture development and creating water harvesting structures based on the requirements of the community. Given long spells of drought in the area, this is an area of critical importance for AAK. We seek not only local solutions but also educate the community of the causes and consequences of wrong agricultural practices. AAK seeks to create linkages between observed local changes to broader policy and environmental processes impacting on agriculture.
